Looking to drive technical planning for one of our Northern operations?

Reporting to the Underground Manager, the Senior Planning Engineer will lead the Planning Team and be responsible for delivering short, medium and long-term mine plans that support safe production, optimise life-of-mine performance, and drive operational success. This is an 8/6 roster, offering great balance!

About the role:

  • Develop and deliver strategic, medium and short-term mine plans.
  • Complete development, stope, drill and blast designs.
  • Manage planning schedules, forecasts and underground budgets.
  • Maintain planning databases, reporting and ventilation models.
  • Review geotechnical recommendations and ensure compliance with site standards.
  • Lead and mentor Planning and Junior Engineers.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and support life-of-mine optimisation.
  • Act as Underground Manager as required.
  • Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with site procedures.

About You:

  • Mining Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • 7+ years' underground mining experience.
  • 2+ years in a senior mine planning role.
  • First Class Mine Manager's Certificate desirable.
  • Strong experience in mine planning across short, medium and long-term horizons.
  • Proficient in Deswik (Sched, CAD, SO, MDM) and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Current WA C-Class Driver's Licence, First Aid Certificate and National Police Clearance.
